I've made lots of Ashwood Sandwich Boards on which you can prepare, cut and serve a sandwich. They've also been used for serving cheese, snacks, sushi, meats, crackers, bread, or be used for light chopping. They are made of Canadian white ash and feature the various natural colours and grain patterns of ash. I've bevelled the underneath edges to shape them like a plate and to make it easier to pick up from a table or a counter. I also brand the back of each board so you'll always know how to find me. :-)
I never would have thought to make these on my own. I'm a regular vendor at the Halifax Seaport Farmers Market in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada where many Europeans visit and have settled. They took a look at the products I was selling and started telling me how they love to eat off of wooden plates. I had many requests to make sandwich boards and, ever ready to please, I started making some. I started out with small boards (I called them Smart Bread Size) but they kept requesting larger sizes. I now make a nice range of sizes, a little something for everyone.
I sell them individually but they are made in sets. If you would like a set of 4 or 6 let me know and I'll do my best to make an entire set for you or pick out of the ones I have on hand.
